I have been a 999/112 responder since the age of 18  starting  with the Dublin & Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team www.dwmrt.ie and continuing with the Glen of Imaal red cross mountain rescue team www.wmr.ie , qualifying as a Emergency Medical Technican in 1998 Ireland. I Trained as a Paramedic with Northeastern University Boston USA and worked in 911 response north Boston USA for 2.5 years whilst also Training with the National Ski Patrol http://www.nsp.org/ and US Disaster Medical Assistance Team http://www.ma1dmat.org/

 I am a fulltime Advanced Paramedic, and Firefighter since 2001.   24 years mountain rescue team membership. whilst also instructing on various courses including Remote emergency care, Wilderness Emergency First Responder & E.M.T, Irish Heart Foundation Life support.

outdoor activities include , rock climbing, mountaineering,  Canadian canoeing, sking when I can afford it, the occasional caving trip and eating pies.

My goal is to show you what you need to know practically and  not all the technical stuff that clutters up my head!
